What an amazing shop. I literally walked in on a Friday at 2pm and was out of there within the hour. I called a few days earlier for a quote so I knew they had the tires. I got 4 brand new all-season tires put on balanced for $570!! The guys are all super friendly and know what there doing.

Does Sky Tires sell used tires?
Yes. Used tires are checked for tread depth, age and condition before they are sold, and you will be told honestly what you are buying. They carry no manufacturer warranty, which is reflected in the price, and they are a practical option when a full new set is not the plan this year.
When should I put winter tires on in Calgary?
The usual guidance is to book the changeover once daytime temperatures start sitting near or below 7 degrees Celsius, which in Calgary is typically through October, and to have it done before the first lasting snow rather than after it. Winter compounds stay flexible in that cold while all-season rubber hardens and loses grip. Booking in October avoids the November rush.
Can a flat tire be repaired, or do I need a new one?
It depends where the damage is. A puncture in the tread area can usually be repaired properly from the inside. Damage to the sidewall or the shoulder, a cut rather than a puncture, or a tire that has been driven on while flat generally cannot be repaired safely. Sky Tires finds the leak, judges whether the tire can be saved, and tells you straight either way.
How do I find my tire size?
It is moulded into the sidewall of the tire as a three-part number, something like 225/65R17. You will also find the size the vehicle was built for on a placard inside the driver's door jamb. Either one is enough for the shop to confirm fitment over the phone.
Will Sky Tires install tires I bought somewhere else?
Yes. Bring them in and they will be mounted and balanced. The workmanship is warranted, but the product is not, so a defective tire bought elsewhere is a claim with whoever sold it. A tire that is the wrong size, past its safe service life or unsafe to put back on the road will be declined, and you will be told why.
Do I need to come back after new tires are installed?
Yes, and it matters. After any wheel has been removed and refitted the wheel nuts need re-torquing, so bring the vehicle back after roughly 50 to 100 kilometres of driving. Sky Tires does the re-torque at no charge. Nuts can settle after the first drive, and a wheel that has not been re-torqued can work loose.
